Terms & Conditions

Plain terms, both ways.

Last updated · August 2026

01

Who these terms cover

Ceybuilder is a web studio in Colombo, Sri Lanka, building websites and web systems for businesses. These terms apply to every project unless a written scope says otherwise.

02

Scope and quote

Every project starts with a written scope in plain language, and one fixed quote for that scope. The quote does not change unless the scope changes — and a scope change is agreed in writing, with its price, before the extra work starts.

03

Payment

A portion of the quote is paid to begin work and the balance at agreed milestones or handover, as set out in the written scope. Work pauses if a due payment is more than fourteen days late.

04

What you own

On full payment you own the deliverables: the code written for your project, the domain, the content, and the hosting account — registered in your name, not ours. Open-source components keep their own licences. Either side can end the relationship and everything keeps working.

05

Maintenance and hosting

Maintenance is a monthly arrangement agreed with the quote: updates, backups, small changes and hosting. You can end it with one month's notice, and we hand everything over cleanly with instructions.

06

What we're responsible for

We fix defects in the work we delivered, without charge, when reported within thirty days of launch. We are not liable for losses caused by third-party services, content you supply, or changes made by others after handover. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid for the project.

07

Your part

Content, photos and approvals arrive on the agreed schedule — timelines assume they do. You confirm that material you supply is yours to use.

08

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the version that applies to your project is the one that was current when your scope was signed.
